I just returned from an amazing 2 week vacation to South Korea and Japan.
In the past few days, I had been hearing that Alaska Airlines was crediting 10,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage miles to Virgin America’s Elevate members. I checked my Alaska Airlines miles this morning and was
slightly disappointed that I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to get credited.
It is hard to believe that 2016 is coming to an end, it feels that I just closed my eyes for a moment and now 2017 is fast approaching.
No, I didn’t fall off the face of the Earth. I haven’t been updating due to my busy work schedule.
I am sorry for the delay in writing this trip report. It’s been crazy since I got back and I didn’t really have the chance to go through pictures/notes until recently. Without further due… here is the first part of the trip report!
It is that time of the year again!
Vacation to Asia!
You may be wondering why the title of this trip report is “Hong Kong & Taiwan Take 2”? What happen to Take 1? Well… Take 1 happened in 2012 and I lost my travel journal so I had to stop blogging about it.
As you can see, the Traveling Newbie blog recently underwent some changes:
On our last full day in Vancouver, we decided to go shopping and spend some time just wandering around. We first grabbed breakfast at a local restaurant (can’t remember the name).
We woke up a bit later on Day 3 as this was my birthday! (well it was my birthday). We decided to head to the Twisted Fork for some breakfast as we both had hair appointments at 10 AM. Luckily for us, Twisted Fork and our hair salon was a mere 10 minute walk (from each other). The restaurant had a bit of a bar feeling to it because it was pretty cool that we were seated pretty close to the kitchen.
Birthdays are great excuses to get away and for the first time, I will be out of the country for my birthday!
