It doesn’t seem that long ago I was in Vancouver B.C. When my friend, W invited me for a quick getaway, I jumped at the chance.
On our last full day in Vancouver, we decided to go shopping and spend some time just wandering around. We first grabbed breakfast at a local restaurant (can’t remember the name).
We woke up a bit later on Day 3 as this was my birthday! (well it was my birthday). We decided to head to the Twisted Fork for some breakfast as we both had hair appointments at 10 AM. Luckily for us, Twisted Fork and our hair salon was a mere 10 minute walk (from each other). The restaurant had a bit of a bar feeling to it because it was pretty cool that we were seated pretty close to the kitchen.
We woke up relatively early on Day 2 as we were going to be heading up to Grouse Mountain to go ziplining! Let me say first that I am extremely terrify of heights, so why am I going to go ziplining?! My good friend, W said that she would come with me to Vancouver if I went ziplining so I agreed. Our 5- line cost $124.95CAD (about $95.20USD). As soon as we were almost ready to leave, I called down to the front desk and asked for a taxi. We had decided to take a taxi to Canada Place to catch the complimentary shuttle bus. We arrived around 8:30 AM for the 9 AM shuttle bus. We didn’t know exactly know where line up for the bus so we went to a nearby kiosk to asked.
After arriving at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, we still had 1.5 hours layover before heading to Vancouver. We just headed straight to our gate and picked up some snacks along the way.
Birthdays are great excuses to get away and for the first time, I will be out of the country for my birthday!
