10K Alaska Airlines Bonus Miles!

In the past few days, I had been hearing that Alaska Airlines was crediting 10,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage miles to Virgin America’s Elevate members. I checked my Alaska Airlines miles this morning and was slightly disappointed that I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to get credited.

Currently you can receive a 30% bonus when you convert your miles from Elevate to Mileage Plan (1,000 Elevate miles = 1,300 Mileage Plan miles).  GamblingMan shared the link where you can convert your Virgin Elevate miles to Alaska Airlines miles:

Since I rarely fly Virgin America, I decided to convert my miles now than later and to also receive the 30% bonus. The process was simple and I was done in under 5 minutes. You will receive an email when your conversion is in process and you will receive another email when the conversion has been completed.

A few minutes ago, I decided to check my Mileage Plan account to see if the converted miles were posted.

OMG! Look what else posted?! I was surprised/shocked/happy to see the 10K Bonus miles. The date said it was credited yesterday January 8, 2017. But when I checked this morning, I didn’t see the bonus. Perhaps my miles conversion triggered the credit? Who knows but I am super happy that I got an extra 10K miles in my account.
